Sneha Poovanna had an overwhelming 2019. What with an exciting time at work, a thrilling trip to South Africa and the chance to fly to Hong Kong to represent Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in the Touch Rugby Tournament!
One of the first women to make it to the Déjà Vu team, Sneha’s enthusiasm and dedication were both contagious and encouraging. Though new to rugby, she practiced hard and put in the effort that helped her contribute to the amazing wins Déjà Vu had throughout the tournament in Bangalore and Hong Kong. As a Human Resources professional, Sneha is also quite proud of the fact that Déjà Vu was one of the few teams which had a good representation of women.
What Sneha loved about this whole experience was the people she got to meet and interact with. She was so excited that she arranged e-meets prior to her travel to Hong Kong so she could start networking! All this while she was on a vacation in South Africa. Fortunately the vacation ended the very day she had to fly to Hong Kong, to participate in the charity tournament! Sleep deprived and tired after several flights, she was determined to give her best on the field.
Rugby is always a great way to meet like-minded individuals and form friendships for life. The sport helped Sneha step out of her comfort zone. Rugby led to an unforgettable journey, one that combined her love for travel and sport.
