Another edition of Catalyst! New sets of banking challenges! New geographies! Welcoming AFMO!
We witnessed an overwhelming response to our demo day of the 5th edition of Catalyst which we clubbed with the AFMO Launch (the India cricket world cup not withstanding) on the 10th July 2019. The exuberant evening saw, industry thought leaders, academicians, dignitaries, senior leaders from the Africa and European regions, enterprising startups (past, present & future) and the proud Societe Generale employees. Not to miss the busy team members putting together the well-coordinated event and debating the latest trends in technology, talent and lot more.
Branded stalls and exhibits were lined up with agile teams, enthusiastically pitching their creations. It was a high energy, speed networking and the most collaborative ecosystem to be part of. Rathnaprabha Manickavachagam, Head – Innovation & Digital Transformation, inaugurated the AFMO launch and reminisced the journey of 6 editions of Catalyst, while Christophe Duprat, Head- Transformation & Strategy, steered the show, welcoming our startups. We provided the best platform for our cohorts to demonstrate their solutions and connect with the ecosystem.
The gala evening closed with dinner and a positive high!

Head of Innovation and CSR, AFMO
“I am very impressed with the India Innovation (INO) team and how the Accelerator program is managed over here. It’s very heartening to see that the Catalyst cohorts have demonstrated notable success after their initial association with Societe Generale. This edition is more significant in our global digital transformation journey, as it caters to an emerging finance market in Africa and will welcome the most competent Indian startups to work with Societe Generale businesses in Africa to resolve the identified business challenges and explore the larger emerging African market opportunities. We look forward to great results across our selected retail banking challenges impacting procurement, HR, personal finance, shareholder relationship and compliance functions”.
